 New Marina development will be dedicated to leisure traffic on certain days as the city sets its sights on becoming China’s yachting hub. Shanghai has plans to create more marina spaces due the leisure marine industry growing. The city government plans to build a large marina on the Huangpu River, with 120 berths planned for the development’s first phase.
Shanghai’s and more generally China’s yachting industry is growing, with business worth over 1bn yuan (US$155m) reportedly having been generated at the China International Boat Show held in Shanghai in April the future for the sector is positive for these reason different yacht builder, Italian and not, are putting into practice specific strategies for the area. |
